Product Design, User Research, Visual Design & Prototypes

Services Provided

Having worked with Microsoft on multiple projects over the years ranging from interaction design to product design with emphasis on user experience, wireframing, brainstorming, visual design, personas and task driven prototypes. The majority of my work was completed while working on-site and was based out of the Redmond Washington campus.

Product Management

While working on-site at Microsoft I was in charge of multiple large scale products. From Live Mail to conceptual search features for Bing.

Interactive Prototypes

While on-site at Microsoft I worked directly with usability engineers to design and develop interactive prototypes for large scale user testing.

Product Design

As a senior product designer for Microsoft, I was in charge of dreaming up with innovative ways for users to interact with Microsoft’s valuable products and information.

Visual Design

While at Microsoft as a senior product designer, I was a part of several large scale visual redesign projects including Hotmail and Windows Live Mail.

Project Highlights

While working in the Microsoft CDC (Custom Design Center) with the Live Mail and Search Team, I was tasked with building prototypes for usability studies and user groups, updating user interface elements and working on the HIG (Human Interface Guidelines). Prototypes were built in Adobe Flash and presented to users for overall design and functionality with the launch of the newly designed Windows Live Mail and Windows Live Search.

Microsoft Education Products EDPGX Group was in need of a User Interface Designer to help design features for their release. While working with EDPG I was in charge of brainstorming and creating new interface designs to help teachers and students navigate, collaborate and share products, projects and homework in the infancy stages of Microsoft Cloud.

While at Microsoft I was also part of the NTC, which was in charge of keeping a network wide cohesive experience and tight brand across all Microsoft and MSN channels. Our team collaborated with Project Managers and other groups across Microsoft to keep other channels aware of any design changes that could impact other large projects throughout the organization.
