Services Provided

CoBank is chartered by the U.S. Government to serve the capital needs of rural America, financing cooperatives, agribusinesses, public utilities, and farm credit associations. Currently holding approximately $320 billion in assets, CoBank is the agricultural credit bank. The firm needed a website that better represented their stature and commitment to rural America.

Product Management

While working side by side with CoBank, I was in charge of all aspects of the project from experience design to development handoff.

Wireframes

While working with CoBank I designed in wireframe format to validate usefulness and usability with the client prior to moving to visual design.

Visual Design

After validating designs with the client, I put a pleasing visual touch on the wireframes to give them life.

Product Design

I worked with a team of internal developers to help product HTML and CSS for handoff to CoBank developers.

Project Highlights

CoBank is one of the largest private providers of credit to the U.S. rural economy. With more than $125 billion in assets, the bank delivers loans, leases and other financial services to agribusiness, rural infrastructure and Farm Credit customers in all 50 states.

Website Redesign

I partnered with CoBank Marketing and IT to revamp their outdated Sitecore website. Mobile responsiveness and a modern aesthetic were forefront to the project plan, as well as a focus on surfacing strategic content.

CoBank is known for its expertise in matters affecting rural America; reports from company analysts are highly valued by stakeholders. Making this content easy to find was a key priority.

Mowing Down the Corn Maze

Each report, formerly buried in nested, maze-like navigation, is now easily accessible, beautifully designed, and filterable by topic. Expert bio pages direct users to a knowledge exchange and industry specific reports.

The site has essentially been transformed into a highly usable, useful, and up-to-date library covering the most important aspects of doing business in rural America.

Working Side by Side

In order to accomplish this enterprise-level implementation, I worked with developers to provide HTML and CSS during handoff to CoBank’s internal development team.

I guided CoBank staff as they translated my designs into the finished product. Staff augmentation, coupled with UX and technical consultation of this type, have helped me cultivate enduring client partnership.
